UNCOVERING STORIES, RESTORING ART

Our “Art in Need” initiative focuses on female artists and their works hidden in state museums and churches, or packed away in storage, requiring urgent attention for restoration. These overlooked masterpieces, hidden gems with cultural significance, should be brought back to life. By supporting our work, you play a vital role in preserving not only the art but also the stories of these pioneering artists, whose history is crucial to Italian heritage.

Your contribution enables collaborations with skilled professionals, fostering international partnerships that breathe new life into these artworks. We meticulously document each restoration phase through diagnostic and photography campaigns, with collaborative efforts from restorers, art historians, museum executives, philanthropists, and educational institutions.

Suor Plautilla Nelli’s Madonna of the Rosary, Montaione

To commemorate Suor Plautilla Nelli’s 500th anniversary, we restored her grand altarpiece, the ‘Madonna of the Rosary.’ Renowned Nelli conservator Rossella Lari, along with the Lorenzo de’ Medici Institute’s Advanced Restoration students, brought this masterpiece back to life.

To honor Plautilla Nelli’s legacy on her 500th anniversary, students from ‘Advanced Restoration,’ under the direction of head professor Dr. Roberta Lapucci of the Lorenzo de’ Medici Institute of Florence, supported by various departments, embarked on restoring ‘Madonna and Child with Saint Catherine, Sant’Agnese and Saint Dominique.’

Announcement of our diagnostic campaign for Artemisia Gentileschi’s ‘Madonna and Child’ and ‘Santa Cecilia’ paintings at the Galleria Spada Rome.
